A few sites to view enroute to Windy Ridge (Mt. St. Helens) via EAST LEWIS COUNTY.

From Randle to Windy Ridge, view the incredible destruction from the BIG BLAST.

Mt St. Helens,
(Windy Ridge view) from the North East side.

View how the green scenery has returned in the valleys beneath Mt. St. Helens.

Mt. Adams
(from Windy Ridge) the view is from all angles.

Up close from Windy Ridge, approximately three minutes from the "Plains of Abraham", located at the base of the North East side of Mt. St. Helens. The North East side (to the right of the mountain) collasped during the 1980 eruption. At the base of that North East side is called "Plains of Abraham".

Mt. Rainier
(under clouds) one of four mountains visible from Windy Ridge.

Spirit Lake
(enroute to Windy Ridge) The lake has risen due to the debris from the Mt. St. Helens blow down. (approx 200 plus ft.)

Cispus River (a fast running river, passes through Iron Creek Campgrounds)

Climb to top of Windy Ridge (this location is half way to the top) Windy Ridge is the nearest organized location for a view of Mt. St. Helens.

Mt. Hood (under clouds), Yes, you will view its location in Oregon clearly.)

Cascades Peaks Restaurant (fantastic view of Mt. Adams)

Iron Creek Falls
(gorgeous creek travels part of the route along side road)

Fire Pits, and much more. Plenty of space between campsites and many river sites are available at Iron Creek Campground.

Layser Cave
Previous Indian campsite. This campsite is approximately 20 yards from the below view.

Tongue Mt. - Mt. Adams - Juniper Ridge
Plenty of history documented to read at this location.

Tower Rock
A CAN'T MISS. Larger upclose.

Don't forget me....
